  • Dalai Lama Visit to San Diego Uplifting

    The University of San Diego, San Diego State University, and UC San Diego were honored to host a visit from the Dalai Lama this week, the exiled spiritual leader and symbol of hope for Tibet. The Dalai Lama, 76-year-old Tenzin Gyatso, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 for his non-violent struggle for the liberation of Tibet, and is known for his strong belief that compassion is the source of a happy life.

  • New American musical: Hands on a Hardbody

    From Friday, April 27th until Sunday, June 17th, 2012, a brand new American musical named Hands on a Hardbody will be playing at the La Jolla Playhouse, located just outside San Diego. The La Jolla Playhouse is located at 2910 La Jolla Village Drive in La Jolla, California. Performance times vary depending on the day, so to see the playbill visit the La Jolla Theatres website.

  • Occupiers Protest National Defense Authorization Act

    Occupiers from all over Southern California gathered in San Diego yesterday to speak against the National Defense Authorization Act in front of the Democratic National Convention. The protestors first gathered in Childrens Park, and Frank Gromlie, a member of the Save The Bill of Rights group, spoke through a bullhorn to all who would listen.
